Readzy makes reading easy for anyone who has struggled with phonics or learn-to-read-by-reading programs – regardless of age. The secret to literacy is that printed words aren’t very important – listening is the key to success. Reading is all about listening and spoken words – a receptive language skill. Readzy helps children listen to printed words the way that natural readers do – not by memorizing phonics rules or forced practice.
Readzy is essential reading instruction for special education, reading and learning disabled students, dyslexics and anyone that reads too slowly or with too much effort. Reading becomes as easy as listening to a favorite story at bedtime. If you know someone who has struggled for with phonics and print for years then try Readzy. Fully based on research and tested with students with for over a decade.
Readzy is two games with six levels of difficulty. Sonic Challenge is helps with auditory processing, discrimination and phonemic awareness (hearing sounds in words), the three critical keys to reading at any age. Students must determine the missing sound in a word, a very hard task because English is flooded with words that are similar in spelling and sound.
Word Strike presents students with two similar words and asks them to identify one sound in one of the words. Word Strike develops the auditory (listening) attention to the fine details in printed and spoken words that so many struggling readers lack.
The Readzy games can be played over and over again as they draw from a word bank of over 500 words. Encourage your child or student to shoot for higher scores on each level of difficulty. We suggest that students play each level until it becomes too easy.
